I don't think the drain plug on the 2015's is plastic.
My previous vehicle was a 2011 Ford F-350 w/ 6.7L diesel. Plastic oil pan and plastic plug.
Since 2012 year, Ford went back to metal oil pan on the 6.7L.
Real nice to change oil on yourself. Everything out in the open to get at. The oil filter will drip a lot of oil out, some have punctured the bottom of the filter to drain it prior to removal.
Get a Fumoto valve at first oil change and replace the factory plug. Really simplifies oil changing. I wanted to do this with my 2011, but since it had the plastic pan and plug, Fumoto did not make a valve for that year.
Finally, don't skimp on the quality of oil filter you use. I'd use either the Motorcraft Ford filters from the dealer, or better yet the Fleetguard LF 17494 filter. I used all Motorcraft, as the Fleetguard are hard to find locally, but are easily obtained through on-line sources.
