Hi GerritMaxwell, neat idea! I seldom use my on board genny and usually default to the Honda EU2000.
Also, just to jump in, I always pull the rear plate off the truck and put it on the camper, although sometimes I forget to take it off and have driven the truck more than once with no rear plate...never was stopped for it though.
Last thing to the GerritM, from your pics it looks like the side plates on your SuperHitch are on the wrong sides. the bottom 90* bends should be facing inboard, not outboard. It probably doesn't make a difference but thats how I installed mine (inboard) according to the SH instructions.
