Have you looked at the Folbot line of kayaks? http://folbot.com/ Perhaps you could mount one to the side of the TC. Just a thought.
That currently is the method. With racks: it is too high to simply reach up and put boat on car, so I needed a rear and rack rollers. Could do something similar on TC, but I think it would be difficult unless loading from the front possibly. A large issue is wind, when loading.
