Radial pull

Some oversized, deep-lug truck tires are known for radial pull.
Toyo M/T's and Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's are two that come to mind.

For Dodge trucks, a common cure for the Toyos (which pull left) is to put a bit more pressure in the steering stabilizer, which effectively cancels-out the pull.

tire dealer replaced the tire we think was bad.

I took the van for a test drive and it appears to drive fine.

so I think the problem is solved.

tire dealer said he had an average of about 2 tires per year with radial pull.

again, problem appears to be solved.

Had GYs on a car 15 years ago with same problem. Owner of shop was a good friend. He would drive that car after every service to check for such things. Sometimes he could detect it when I would not notice it. Changing the location of the tire would correct the problem. Never had on of them to go bad on me, and they lasted as long as the other tires on the vehicle with no other problems.
Radial pull can still be a problem.

maxwell...as a previous poster mentioned, there are a number of american manufacturers producing tires in China, not their premium but those they need a lower price point on...check country of origin, it's on the sidewall.

if you can open this site: it explains more about radial pull, just what happened as my tire guy told me what to do as he Diagnosed my tire problem.

just because I have never heard of the problem, guess that does not mean it did not exist.

hope to get the new tire installed today and the problem goes away.

and yes like others, I too have had problems over the years with the big "M" tires, cracks came all over the sidewalls of two sets.

but, I banked on that problem being solved when I bought the current set on my truck.

Tire today still have tires with broken or slipped belts. He said it's his DW's ride. She could have curbed it at Mickey D's.

I am a michelin user for summer tires on my diesel gmc and 2 autobahn cruisers, until the most recent set which were continentals .
For my duramax I have been buying the Cooper SNOW tires because they have lots of extra siping , work really well in snow and are much cheaper than the nokian hakkepolittas that are on our e350 4matic sedan .
Because I have to replace the snow tires more often than the highway tires Price becomes a big factor .
I replace the snows much before the wear bars to keep the traction factor high .
These Cooper load range E tires go in the snow better than the BFGs I have tried before .
I have not had an imbalance or pulling problem with the Cooper snow tires either but I only use them for 25-30,000 miles before replacing .
We live at 4100 feet ASL and snow is an issue many days in the winter so good traction is paramount .
I will buy another set of the Cooper snow tires . Actually they are my first choice for truck usage.

If you look at many tires being sold today they are made in China. As such I would say all bets are off.

To the OP check the codes on the tire you are having a problem with.
