My buddy went through this same thing. I think it was about $800 or so to have the trailer "lifted". The shop welded rectangular tube along the bottom of the frame, with cross braces. Think it was a 6" lift. Part of the reason for 6" is he has the Ram Box, and the "truthful" dealer said they talked to Pull Rite about the hitch working fine with the RB. Needless to say he had to modify the pin box also to clear the RB. All is good now. Just needs larger tires on the 5ver now. They look like doughnut spares on it now!!!!
