Ram 2500 6.4 4x4 : Long or Standard Bed?

Received advice from all of you in previous topics I have posted the last few days. I am now searching for a 2014 2500. I think I want a standard bed, but long beds are in stock. Are there advantages/disadvantages to a long bed for towing?

Long bed has obvious positives but it won't fit in my garage, and would be too tight for some of the twists and turns where I like to camp.

With or without the trailer, I feel the long bed gives the better ride. We have a quad cab long bed Dodge and really like it.

What are you planning to tow? I've always believed that the longer wheelbase of the long bed is beneficial no matter what you tow. If a fiver, the short bed may require a slider hitch, which lots of folks use without problem.
