A question was raised about the possibility of the Ram 2500 using 'progressive coil springs'
It may, I am not 100% sure. Here are a few pics for comparison.
This is the Rear Suspension assembly for a coil spring 2014 Ram 2500

Earlier this year I changed the rear suspension on my Town Car from Air Bags to Monroe progressive springs. While in now way Heavy Duty they do illustrate how a progressive spring is designed.
Here is a pic of the kit I put under the rear of my Town Car.

What's nice about the progressive rate coils is that unloaded they provide an awesome ride... Put a load on them and they get 'progressively' stiffer to safely handle the increased load and still provide a good ride.
I thought it would be appropriate to illustrate the progressive spring incase someone isn't sure what that term may mean.
