Both trucks have the 3:73 gears
It is much better to have the engine turning at a higher RPM when climbing with a heavy load.
With my 3:42 gears I am in 3rd at 55 mph and 2,800rpm climbing some of the steep grades on I-5.
Temps stay cool all the time.
