Ram 6.4 ?

I think that's way overblown. The diesel stickered about $7500 more than your truck, but there's generally a little more discount to be had so maybe more like $6500 more OTD. You're going to save about $1000 per 100k miles on fuel with the diesel with the current split in my area ($.60 premium for diesel), and more if you tow a lot. You'll spend a little more on maintenance with the diesel. Then when you sell it when you're done with it you'll get more back. Do all that math and compare it to what you'll spend on the truck, fuel, maintenance/repairs, tires, batteries, etc. There's not a material difference in overall ownership cost between the two.

The material difference is better performance with the diesel.
