I don't agree with your assertions. I spent a considerable sum for a brand new truck with a diesel engine. Every diesel I have ever owned came with a block heater and a way to use it.
But more importantly was the owners manual which specifies this as "Required" in temps below -20. And no disclaimers. Further I was never given a choice to get it or not. And if you undererstand the concept of "informed consent" you would immediately see why Ram has offered to pay for the cord.
If you read my Post you would have surely noticed that I am on my way to Alaska NOW. It is predicted to be -31 when I am in Whitehorse YT.
