I towed my last 5er, 39' 9" long and CAT scale weight of 16,400# in the mountains of NC, TN, VA and WV, on 7% Interstate grades as well as even steeper mountainous, curvy secondary roads in those states, and I've never had an issue with slowing or braking. ...EB is in 1st. stage, (aggressive), and T/H is on...it's rare that I need to "gear down"...Truck would almost come to a stop letting off on throttle...
