The extra room is needed for kids. A crew cabs seat in the center is shallow front to back on the back seat. I have 3 kids that have to sit on the back seat. The extra room behind the seat of the mega cab would be great I think for all the items they like to have in the cab with them while on the road. I am also looking for a truck with a 40/20/40 front seat so I will have seating for 6 instead of 5. Most truck these days is ordered with bucket seats in the front.
