Mega great??

We loved both our mega cabs we had. First a 2006 that had horrible turning radius and then the 2012 Mega 2500 that turned outstanding and was just an all amazing truck. From taking our kids to just the guys taking it out for fishing trips it's amazing. Recline the rear seats store stuff back there. What more could you ask for.
We never used the slider hitch with our 40' 5er but yes parking it was not anywhere near the store entrance. And taking up 1.5 parking spots was mandatory.
But they are beautiful and great ride.
But the truck was also not a daily driver. It was stored in our garage until camping time or special outings.
But the long trips were great in it. Our kids never complained about room or the ride even when our dogs came with us. Always enough room.

We just purchased a 2016 Ram bighorn crew cab 3500. Kids already complaining the seats don't recline for them. But we couldn't swing cash for a Mega and a Cummins in a 3500.
My only complaint about the Mega is dodge removed the "Mega" emblem from the truck.
I think the emblem was a badge of honor. The look what I got factor.

I think if you had to go on a long road trip and sit in the back you would choose the Mega over the Crew cab.

We rarely carry passengers but our dog kennel needs to be in the cab. If Ram offered a suicide door extended cab, I would prefer it over their Quad or Crew cab offering since I don't have to sit back there. If I was a regular passenger in the rear, I would seriously be looking at the comfort of the Mega cab with my 35" inseam.

Your right cummins... But having said that one should know that looks department can't be quantified so there comes in the opinion. I'm sure there's some people who love the looks of the Mega Cab, but I don't know any.

As far as LOOKS go the Mega Cab looks good with the 8' bed upgrade. "IMHO" ;)

It is if you need the 8' bed, but having the kids be able to stay belted in, kick the sest back and sleep for hours on a road trip is priceless!
I'm always driving or shotgun but bet I'd enjoy it too!
Of little use around town though.

True enough. Thinking about it, the repair bills on my Ford 6.0L were more hideous than the Megacab could ever possibly be! :B
