Ram selection
Just on a whim, stopped a few days ago and checked out the new Rams. Really nice. I'm a tad confused about the differences between the Tradesman, SLT's, Laramies, and Bighorns. Is it mostly just ho...

It is about the bling. Tradesman and SLT are pretty much lower model work trucks. Outdoorsman is a step up from that I believe. Then you get into the mid level Laramie and Laramie Limited. This gets you leather, 8.4 touch screen etc. Another step up is the Big horn and Long Horn which add different rims, a few more gadgets like nav, big tacky badges and a cowboy interior.
You can get 40/20/40 split in the Laramie for sure, they are like buckets with a center console when the center is down, but put the armrest up and you have seating for 6.
Most seem happy with their Rams. I have a love/hate relationship with mine. Love the looks and interior but it's the worst vehicle I have ever owned. Nothing but recalls and reliability problems. Came from a Tundra though, Ram owners seem to be more accepting of the issues? Take a read of the Ram forums and you'll see. Wish I had before I bought. Poor resale value makes me stuck with it.
Have you investigated the FCA buy back program. Many on the TDR site did that and got new 15 or 16's which seem to be much better.
