Ram trucks from 2015 through the 2017 recall

My dealer told me they don't have the parts to fix this recall issue and won't have them until the end of October at the earliest. Amazing that the recall is dated July 26, 2018. Two months after the recall notice and dealers don't have parts to fix the issue. I wonder who I sue if the tail gate opens in the meantime while I'm traveling with my 5th wheel and I turn a corner causing damage to my camper and truck. Call your dealer and inquire about the status of repair parts in your area. Maybe it's just here in the Northeast that the parts are unavailable.
