- NC_HaulerExplorerWhat ever happened to the poster that came on here months ago and swore up and down that he had purchased a 2013 Ram 3500 dually that had the air suspension on it??..I asked him about it and he swore up and down he had it. I asked him to post on the Cummins forum and inform those posters who knew the same thing that I did....they haven't made any....Haven't heard back from them since....if he's really got it...he's the ONLY one that does...Maybe he'll show back up here and take some pictures of it..:)
Sort of like the poster that stated he had a 2013 Ram 2500 about 2 months before they ever hit the market....even showed a picture:R, which looked just like a 2012:)...
No big deal if they come out with it or not....won't be the first time that a major manufacturer has said they were going to do something and didn't....I don't need it, the OEM suspension on these 1 ton dually's is more than enough to tow what most need to tow with.. - prfssrExplorer

Well they could just release it and then do a recall.
Or let the customers figure it out.
Nah, that never works out.
Kind of like they did for the fuel filter heaters. Pre - December 2013 builds had them turned off, winter came and guess what - no fuel and trucks would not doing anything but idle - mine included. Dealer turned them on and everything was good to go. I heard of thousands of trucks getting stranded when we had that real cold spell in February. - BenKExplorer

Maybe a lame question, but does the system have a dryer incorporated into it like the air system on a Class 8 OTR tractor?
That was my thought too. From what I've seen, it doesn't look like it. Also, besides the extra cost, it would be an item your typical pickup buyer would completely neglect, so I can understand why it wouldn't have one. But, that would also be the reason for cold weather glitches.
I also can't imagine it would be hard to "hack" the system" and add your own dump switch. Shouldn't take anything other than over-riding at most 2 solenoids.
Ditto that...as proof is in some luxury class 'cars' with air suspension
Both neglect and not to the level on semi's (pro's) quality (cost) - ideratherbecampExplorerI just bought a 2014 ram 2500 with the 6.4,4.10 gears and the rear air suspension a week ago. So far it has worked great and ride is great.
- Ram4SamExplorerI guess they could do like Ford does, sell it before the bugs are worked out, let the customers be the test guinea pigs and keep the lemon law attorneys busy........
Sam - TurnThePageExplorerThe 1500 has a closed system that uses nitrogen, that has reportedly been experiencing cold weather glitches. I'm guessing the HDs are probably using something similar.

- Bionic_ManExplorerTroller, I am surprised that you don't know someone who has had trouble with the system.
- 45RicochetExplorerYeah I waited for the new 3500 DRW with the air bags...... still waiting. Glad they just didn't release something unproven though like a CP.4. The new air bags sounded nice with air down feature but clearly the legal suits had the final say.
Guess I have another year left in my old girl :W
