Rancho 9000 expected life?

Mine have 40,000 miles and have been on for 5 1/2 years now. When I bought them, I filled the adjusting knob with grease and they still adjust easily.

How long will they last..?? Any stories to tell of warranty?

And... on their site it says to have the box top end of each shock with the code number on it... now who really saves that??

  • Mine lasted about 12 yrs before two of them rusted through. Did not bother with the warranty, just replaced them. Today's XL9000s are much larger than the older ones.
  • My Rancho's are 9 years old with 214,000 miles on 'em. So far, so good. I wouldn't know where to begin to look for the box-top end. I suppose I've gotten my money's worth out of them.
