I had this exact same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. Left the city water attached. The freshwater tank overfill tube was draining the next morning(Tank full).
I wanted to cross-post this from the Forest River Forum that I also participate.

Turn off city water,
Open any faucet to drop pressure to zero (no water flow)
Turn on water pump

Once the pump stops, turn off water pump
Turn city water back on.,
This will reseat the back flow valve and 90% of the time corrects the problem. Once corrected, drain the FW tank unless you plan to use it.
The check valve is the smaller one after removing the pump head. The procedure above addressed my situation.
