He could expect about 9-10 mpg depending on conditions.
I average 11 MPG towing my 27 ft Salem with my 2014 Tundra. I've towed in the mountains and along the coast, no issues. Going up hill with a head wind, did decrease the mileage just a bit. Yes my Tundra has the tow package, yes it handles the trailer just fine. Install the airbags and make the ride better.
