Looking at 2017 Silverado 1500, your opinion?

Thank you all for the feedback. I have looked at the 2500 gas, higjer capacity and larger engine, it has a few negatives:
Still more $$$
Longer bed and wheelbase make it a little harder to manuver
Slightly less MPG
Like the front end look of the 1500 a little better
Just feels like too much truck
This is going o be the wife's daily driver.
Our camping for the next 10/15 years will be limited to 2/3.from home weekend trips in FL and one week a year in the mountains.
I know how my people end up with bigger camper then. Need bigger truck.
My reality is I won't be retiring for at least 15 years. One kid staring g college in two yearz, ND #2 about the same time #1 finishes.my budget will never support a big 5er, nor do I want one for the way we camp. I know more people who went big, then went to the middle over those who went big and steed big. We like State Parks and want to be able to fit, plus be able to get in and out of most gas stations.
We tend to research a purchase of this size to death. We already hAve a very good idea of what our next camper will be (around 27' lightweight in the under 9k lbs gross range).

I appreciate the feedback and opinions. We are keeping the TB and it will become my son's first vehicle, so I'm not in a rush. I intend to find the right deal.
