In Savannah, we usually stay at River's end Campground on Tybee Island. I would recommend taking the trolley ride first off to get your bearing and scope-out things you'd like to go back and see. If you like seafood, we like AJ's Dock-side on Tybee, and The Oyster House on Wilmington Island, the first traffic light when coming off of Tybee Island. These are both mostly locals places and not real touristy. The light-house on Tybee is worth a walk-up for the view. Also it's kinda fun to watch the big ships come-up the Savannah River.
