Thanks Bob....exactly what I needed to hear.

Guys, there's a company here in the Houston area which will remove the old rubber roof and completely reseal the entire roof with a "bedliner" type hard product. Only about a grand for truck camper. Once it's done, you're good pretty much for life. It's more puncture proof, UV proof, and rugged. In fact, I don't know why the manufacturers don't just use this to start. When my roof gets to the point that it needs it, that's the route I'm taking.
I've seen their work, and it's amazing. You might try to find out if there's anything like that in your area.

Yeah, I'm hoping they will know what was used or recommend something. I don't mind using Dicor lap sealant, but a brush on product would be OK as well.
I used Kool Seal about 30 years ago on an aluminum roof cabover. Looking on the internet folks say the current Kool Seal is thinner. I may end up using something similar, then when the weather cools here maybe putting eternabond over that. It needs something pretty soon.

I'll see if Bigfoot responds or anyone here has definite answer. If not, I have a trusted RV parts shop I'll be visiting soon.

Eternabond is good stuff if you can use it. Otherwise, Dicor is good.

Keep in mind that the current Bigfoot owners aren't the same that made Bigfoot a few years ago.

Update...I took the fabric cover off and took a closer look at the roof sealant. It's not a Dicor type lap sealant. It appears that the sealed areas were masked off and the sealant was brushed or rolled on. It's a gray color and nowhere near the viscosity of a lap sealant.
I just emailed Bigfoot asking what they used at the factory and what they recommend I use.
Any Bigfoot owners here know what they used?

X2 on that. The stuff they use gets so hard and brittle you'd need a shot gun to blast it off there. But that's not going to work so I clean and coat over as above.

So y'all are coating the entire roof? Is this SONOLAST a caulk and you are brushing on the entire roof?

I'm not coating the whole roof. Just tape off around the vents and such and "paint" on the coating of your choice. The Elastic roof cement works great for this. This roof coating stays quite flexible. The original coating Northern Lite puts on gets very brittle, flakes and cracks with age. My goal was to cover as much as the original coating as possible.

I just did my AC unit on my NL using eternabond tape.
