I have a 2012 Arctic Fox 1150 and a slide bearing failed on a recent (awesome) 3-week 4500 mile trip. Slide still worked fine, but finding bearings and part of the housing on the camper floor was unnerving. Warranty repair, and the only A/F dealer in town (Tom's Campers, Surprise, AZ) doesn't do slides. No problem - he has a guy right next door who does them but he's really busy... he'll call me back to set it up. After two calls to them, still nothing and I want to get this resolved. I got in touch with Northwoods and talked to a nice guy who authorized a non-dealer repair. Since I couldn't find a non-dealer who would do A/F warranty work (I called several RV repair shops, one guy was just plain rude) I have to pay, then Northwoods will reimburse me... which I'm fine with providing I get reimbursed! Truck & camper is at Orangewood RV now - they were courteous and seem to have a good shop setup - however, been two weeks and I won't get the camper back for at least another week. Took them 10 days just to order the part. I'm the DIY type as well, but this kind of repair is out of my league. Overall, pretty happy with the A/F tho after about 8.000 camper-miles and quite a few trips in the last year.
