You really need to learn how this "works" out in subcontractor land....
My stepson is in the wholesale exhaust business and he tells me the Feds are really coming down hard on companies making and/or installing deletes etc. Fines are being handed out! Proceed with caution! Times are changing and they(the Feds) are very serious this time.
He has a client in Idaho that had suits walk into their shop and say "did you modify this customers(Joe Blow) truck? Do not ever do this kind of work again!"

It seems to me it would be easier and probably cheaper to find an older truck - one without the def systems. There are plenty of pre-05 trucks out there looking for new homes.
That's easy to say, but not everyone wants a 9-10 year old truck with 150,000+ miles on it that has a well used interior, smells like diesel and is noisy.
An easy way to get rid of the regens and make the truck more efficient is to do a DPF delete with SIMs. Only cost around $220-250.00 and doesn't require a tuner. Your EVIC may show a code but it can be removed with a code reader that cost $20-30.00. Regens will stop allowing longer oil change intervals. Keep the DPF if the truck is still in warranty. It can be put back on in an hour or two.
Ok you spend $50k on a new truck and another $250-300 to do a delete - you still need to buy ULSD fuel.
I'll buy a 12V 95-97 Ram with 250,000 miles on it for $9k - and it will burn any kind of diesel and it won't have any electronics on it to go bad. The o/h won't cost but a grand or two and I'll still have a better truck.
