I had a small 17 foot trailer that I traded for a dual axle 28 foot trailer and then last year traded back to a single axle 175BH. I prefer smaller trailers as there are many more spots available when I reserve them. I have not had any blow outs or bearing failures on either, so I cannot comment on that, but, I do put tires at Max PSI EVERY trip and do bearing repack EVERY year. I hope I never have those problems. I did have a flat on a pop-up years ago, but, I changed it on the side of the road and moved on for the day. I almost always use a WD hitch and ride/handling has been about the same. Without WD the single axle trailers do feel much more bouncy.
