Good post OP! Brings out the difference with clarity and explanation!
It is a good post about the price comparison with lower end TTs and a reason why more people are probably buying TTs.
There are reasons families like mine don't buy a TT though we've considered it many times. Dh and I enjoyed tent camping as children, but don't want to be in a small area sleeping with kids on the ground. We want somewhere to stay dry if it rains. We cook, eat and stay outside when possible. We like a big area to dress, and a place to eat inside if it rains. With two king-size bunk ends, we have plenty of room for sleeping at night. Also DH now has a CAP machine and needs electricity. Don't want a noisy generator.
It would nice to not have to set-up the PUP after we arrive at the campground and not have to transfer so much stuff from the back of the truck to the PUP.
Kids love the PUP and don't want us to sell it anyway.
Good reasons to own a TT or PUP. Price isn't the only factor for many of us.
