BTW. I believe you will find running in 3RD gear will be a better more pleasing driving experience anyway. Not only does the trans stay cooler, but you have much more throttle response, and the MPG is the same, as the engine is not working / lugging, so hard to stay in OD.
My Yukon has a tow/haul button. Use it I assume? But keep in 3rd gear?
With the tow/haul I would just let the transmission pick the gear. That is what tow/haul is all about.
