What am I missing here? Based on the comments on this thread I bought (Ebay) 10 X Cool White 48-SMD Panel Dome Map Interior Light Lamps + BA15S 1156 Adapter. The adaptor and the panels provide good light - BUT - they generate a lot of heat. They seem hotter than the incandescent 1156 originally supplied in my "pancake" ceiling lights. The LED panels got so hot the 3M sticky back on the back of the panel curled up like a potato chip. I don't want to be a nervous nellie but the potential for combustion concerns me. I thought an advantage of LEDs were that they did not generate as much heat as incandescent. So...what am I missing? Thanks.
