Real world mileage numbers

Interesting read, but pretty useless for anything but entertainment....of course - other than the 5.9L Cummins being on top of the mpg charts :W

What surprised me was how well the 7.3PSD ranked. I had one for 3 years, great, noisy engine, but didn't think its fuel mileage was quite that good! I am not surprised by the 5.9 Cummins, I had always heard that it has crazy good mileage.

Some of those charts are a bit hard to decipher, they are mixing in large pickups with things like Honda Element? lol

Amazing that the bigger the cargo trailer, the better the mpg. Must be down hill, more pushing! Same for the boats, until you get really big!

Hard pulling and gets 25 mpg city/35 mpg on highway and 18 mpg towing my high sided flat wind sail of a 5vr.
No DPF, no DEF and bone stock

Rolling coal.....no sticking 'supercharge' needed

I will say my DIC is not really accurate to say the least.

I havent looked at the article but I can only guess that they're continuing to follow their advertisers instructions.
