Need to be a little more specific. Are you referring to "all" of the weight ratings of a vehicle, or just the "tow rating"?
FWIW, manufacture's tow ratings are NOT based upon the vehicle pulling a Travel Trailer (TT), but rather a trailer without (or very little) tongue weight. A good example is the Tundra/Space Shuttle episode.
TT's are designed to have about 12 to 15% of the TT's total weight on the tongue. This design is calculated to maximize the towing characteristics of the trailer.
Give us a little better idea of where you are confused.
