Really having a tough time understanding tow info

What truck do you own? Manufacturer, model, engine? What is GVWR and RAWR (rear axle weight rating)...placard on drivers side door jamb will give you this information...
odds are, you will get better/more information if we have more information...Are you wanting to tow a pop-up, a travel trailer, a 5th. wheel, etc....
You're not tying up the forum, it's pertinent information you want and that's what this is for.
One thing you will need to do is load up your truck like you were going camping, full tank of fuel, family, pets, whatever you would take, and see what it weighs...from there it's some simple math and a little common sense and you'll be able to understand the numbers better, (dealing with tongue weight, pin weight, or how heavy of a camper you can tow safely.
