If you also plan to use this for camping, then it's a great plan. It can easily work, especially if you use campgrounds close to the activities. Let the kid stay with teammates if he wants the social aspect, while you and the rest of your family camp.
Dry camping is not so easy, especially Wal-Mart. Those are best for quick overnight stays while traveling to and from. Couple good batteries will do it all except A.C.. I agree with others that this is not a cost saving plan if the baseball trips are the only reason. But if you want one for camping anyway, then it's a great way to get the most out of your trailer, unlike some who only use it 2nor 3 times a year.
