If you are getting it anyway to go camping, then the numbers shift in your favor particularly if the trips aren't too far away.
In a pinch, walmart is OK but at $20-40/night for a campsite with power, water, etc..., it just isn't worth it.
A small Class C or pickup camper might not be a bad option either as it makes it more convenient to take it to the games. You might even ask the hotel, if you could stay in the parking lot for a small fee if you want to stay with the team.
