Rear axle loaded weight Poll

Recently I upgraded to 19.5 wheels/tires and have been thinking it's time to upgrade my old (1986)camper. So wondering how much weight others feel they can safely carry on their rigs rear axle for comparison purposes for those who wish to share.

Here is the Poll question: How much weight are you carrying on rear axle of your truck fully loaded with camper, water, gas, propane & any tows? Specify your configuration with the weight.

Here is my answer in bold to the poll with my current truck/tires, no tow for me.

99 F350 V10 SRW 2WD 245/70/19.5F, rear axle weight: 6980 lbs
  • I rolled the scales at 8200, fully loaded camper (in sig), full water, 2 adults, 3 kids, dog and pulling a 16 foot trailer with my RZR XP4, gear and full of fuel/tanks.

Prompted me into 19.5's....and I feel comfortable with it. Many would not and want a DRW...as would I if I started with this setup but alas....after thousands in upgrades I'm good.

    Edited to add..

Wheels good to 9000 lbs, tires 12,600 lbs, so more margin built into than the last combo of 6800 lbs for wheels and 6400 lbs for tires. Yikes.
  • 5400 lbs. 2006 GMC Duramax/Allison Tire/wheel capacity 6840 lbs, Springs and axle greater than tires.
  • 2001 Ford F250 Supercab SRW long bed diesel
    2001 Lance Lite 915

Rear axle weight is around 6300 lbs without the trailer with the Jeep on it. 6600-6800 depending on tongue weight.

American Racing wheels are rated to 3400 each
Nitto Terra Grapplers 305/70r17 are rated to 3750 each

With the trailer, I'm right at max for the wheel. Been wanting a 6.0l Ford for a while, will probably upgrade to a 4 door DRW long bed sooner or later.
