If the refrigerator was installed in a slide, it may be shorter than one installed elsewhere. Also, a refrigerator in a slide will have less cooling so fans might be installed, reducing battery life. Side vents may interfere with a slide topper if you want one.
We owned a rear kitchen, 2006 Keystone Cougar 243RKS, for 7 years with none of these issues. We loved the roominess of the rear kitchen, having two exits from the TT and the amazing amount of light from all the windows. If you want to really know about a particular type of RV ask the person who owned one.
