I second the stair option. You'll be giving up a lot of storage and towing comfort (subjective, but my opinion for sure) going to a TT.
They're not cheap, but TorkLift GlowStep Revolution steps look great and have an optional hand rail. You can get them with 3-6 steps, depending on your needs, in 6" and 8" depths if I recall correctly. They also make contact with the ground which should significantly increase stability.
Edit: after re-reading, not much you can do about the step to the bedroom unless you can find a floorplan that addresses that. Would adding a handrail help?
