Rear Kitchen VS Rear Living Room

Love my rear kitchen. I do quite a lot of cooking inside so I can be out of the way while others are using the living area/bathroom. We have never had a problem with cabinets flying open and we go on some fairly rough gravel roads.

Not a direct answer to your question, but, I have a mid kitchen, rear living room in my sunnybrook. Because my kitchen is also one of the slideouts, it does not really get in the way of the living area, when cooking. If you are choosing a trailer with no slideouts, then I would go with a rear kitchen, to keep it out of the way, so to speak.

We also like our rear kitchen, we also have a rear door that has the reefer right right next to it, stops the grand kids from running all over the trailer.

We've had a rear kitchen for over 15 years for the reason given by corky12. It's what mama wants. We do get more tossing of things in drawers and cabinets but learned to mitigate it early on and it's not a problem for us.

Its all a matter of what you prefer. We like the rear living room for the picture window. BTW, ours has a kitchen nearly as big as many rear kitchen models.

We've only had one 5th wheel, and it has a rear kitchen. Really like the large area.

Rk gives us lots of counter space and cabinets compared to other models we've seen. No real problems with things shifting, drawers opening, etc. We do pack breakables stored in the back cabinets a bit more carefully, but not a problem at all. We love ours.

Our very first 5th wheel had a rear kitchen and we loved it. We never traveled in it though. We bought it to live in while we built our house. The only problem I could see with it if we were to travel with it would be the fact that ours would have no access to fridge while traveling. If it were me, I'd want to make sure fridge and bathroom were accessible without opening slides before I bought. To some though, that is not a big deal. Just get what you like and go camping :)

If I am backed into a view spot, I just love the rear living room with the huge window. We have two recliners, and both of us enjoy our outside view. Looking out the side into another site just isn't the same.

1st item on Mom's list was large kitchen, 2nd on Mom's list was table and chairs. We love the big kitchen, and we also have a picture window, out the side. Windows in the kitchen also.
