No offense intended but as I was reading I could see the mistakes you were making along the way with your suspension mods, and completely understand why your ride was harsh.

If you'd gotten rid of that girder when you added the airbags, and not pumped the airbags up to the max, and let the overloads make contact, I think you would have been happier sooner. There's no need to jack the truck back up to unloaded height.
From firsthand experience, I know how awful overload slap can be. My camper by itself isn't enough to compress the suspension on my big DRW quite enough to engage the overloads, so every time I went over anything that caused the suspension to compress a little bit, the truck came down on the overloads HARD...
No offense taken, but you can tell me what I did wrong until the cows come home and I don't give hoot. The solution worked and 25,000 miles later I'm as happy as a pig in mud about it. :)
