Rear View Cameras for camper

I wanted a rear-view camera for my TC. When shopping, all I saw were Back-up camera systems, only operative when in reverse.

I found a company in China,

http://www.veise.com/en/products/

and took a chance.

I had to use Western Union to send money. For about $300 I got one camera and two monitors (I wanted to be able to see out the back of the camper while inside, at night).

Camera has infrared night vision, and it works really well. Camera is wired directly to campers house batts, and I disconnect it when not in use, or it will drain it. Monitors connect to the DC/cigarette lighter connectors on the dash, or in the camper. Camera and monitors connect to each other wirelessly, no wiring required between the two.

I know some of you with better electrical skills would come up with better wiring of the camera & monitor on the camper, so as not to have to disconnect. I'm just enough electrician to know I'm not an electrician... so I took the simplest route.

Anyway, it works good, and should work on a trailer etc.

Soon as I figure out how to do pictures in this program, I will attach.
  • thanks for the replies and the tip. I'll keep trying on the pics.
  • Ive been using the Veise wireless system for over 5 years now and it still works great. Bought it off of Ebay. My camera is mounted high and centered on the TC, and wired into one of the rear marker lights. When I turn the parking or headlights on the camera is on. If its during the day and I need the camera on, I will just flip on the parking lights. When the truck lights are off the camera is off. Veise seems to make a decent product.
  • PS: If anyone wants to tip me with the easiest way to attach or include photos, I'm not too proud!
