Rear window curtain

I made a curtain to cover the window of the camper door. It is the width of the screen door and is attached with velcro to the screen door frame. It's much more handy than the black plastic cover that snaps onto the door, and I can easily see what is going on outside without opening the door.
  • There was a Lance owner at the Natcoa truck camper rally in Colorado Springs this July - his screen door had an upper window "pull-down" privacy shade that came from the factory.
I've been looking everywhere for that type of shade. . .it fits perfectly like a custom job. . .can't seem to find one.
  • Thank you for posting this, it is very timely as I'm trying to figure out a good way to cover our bottom door window. Velcro is the ticket.
  • I don't have a screen door; and my rear window is clear/tinted, with a fisheye lens on the lower part. I just have a tiny cafe-curtain rod that lifts off the curtain-rod hooks screwed into the door when we're going down the road.
  • Ahhh- I thought you were describing over the upper window.

This is our curtain. When I swapped out the upper window to clear glass, Margaret wanted a curtain. Simple expanding rod between wall and end of over door box that hangs down a bit.
The fisheye window IS a pain, its curtain, a vinyl flap, attached to door between it and the screen door. Never though attaching to inside of screen. Good idea..
  • Here are the pictures. The curtain itself is just a crude quicky, but it does the job. We found it very convenient to put the curtain up whenever we wanted it without going outside to snap the plastic cover onto the door.

The door with the velcro strip installed -- the black line across the door.

    The curtain in place.

    Peek out mode.
  • We just installed the tinted door window in the lance 825.So if someone comes to the door we will be able to see them. My wife will be making a curtain so if you do have a photo, it would help us. Thank You.
