Rebates and special orders?

At least with Ford, the rebates are taken at the time of delivery because you need the vin# to register the sale with Ford.

When I ordered my Ford, we had settled on an out the door price, with the dealer keeping rebates/incentives.

When the truck came in, there was $500 less for incentives. My dealer said " A deal is deal", and he took the hit. I have to say, that was the 6th new truck, that I had purchased from his dealership.

So yes, the rebates are what is available at the time you take delivery.

I ordered my Ram in March. $3K in incentive cash, 500 ret. mil. And had been a coupon for 500 (it had an expiration) I also used my work Chrysler Affiliate Rewards Program (they had programs with the Big 3) if you go with a high volume dealer, check out the Internet sales program. My local dealer was 3K more out the door than a farther away dealer. I got 13K off sticker on an ordered truck. All my discounts were good and noted on my order/purchase agreement along with my full price. Only thing that would have changed this was, if incentives had gone up or my coupon had expired. (They didn't-either). Mind you I put $500 on my credit card in "Good Faith money". This prevents them from selling the truck out from under you I.e. breech of contract. I had them email a copy of the build and order sheets. When the truck came into the dealer, I went to the Credit Union and picked up the loan check and my down check. I flew down, test drove the truck, reviewed the deal paperwork and presented the two checks. The only out of pocket was I had had them change the tires before I went down and the extended warranty ( which they chopped a chunk off what I had been quoted by Chrysler Care.) so the money that I saved by buying from a more distant dealer, paid for the tires and warranty) they also handled my home sales tax and reg. I was quite happy. Smoothest car deal I've ever had.

When I ordered my little 150 I was promised the rebates at the time of order plus any new ones that were offered. Come out ahead on that order cuz 2 additional rebates were available.

No, the snow plow doesn't upgrade the alternator, it comes with the 157 amp. I can't remember on the axles. I'll see if I can find the window sticker.

When we ordered our 2013 edge, incentives went up 1000 by delivery. So we were happy.

When we ordered our F350 last year we got all sorts of rebates when we placed the order, it took 11 weeks to get it and we still got the rebates. Just get it in writing and have them sign it.

At least for dodge, it's whatever rebates are better. Either order date, or delivery date.
Just went through this a couple weeks ago.

Generally it is whatever incentive is applicable at the time of delivery
