Ric,
I've heard your story, respect your opinion and feel you got screwed over. But....every thread, really? - spoon059Explorer II

just because you launch your new model six months early do not mean you have meet any "production schedules".
It only shows your old truck was not selling.
Don... Ford seems to be doing okay...
http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2014/04/who-sold-the-most-pickups-in-2013.html
Solidly selling more than Ram... more than twice as many half tons, more than twice as many 3/4 tons and about 10,000 less than twice as many 1 tons.
A little tired to do the math, but it appears GM twins sold slightly better than the F150, but Ford sells more full size pickups than anyone else. I don't really think you can make the argument that the old truck was not selling.
Before you give me a snarky response, I like the new Ram HD's better than Fords. If I had the money (and permission from the bride), there would be a shiny 2014 Ram 2500 megacab in my driveway right now... - ricaticExplorer...another novel concept would be honoring warranty after a customer takes delivery...we all know how that goes with the Blue Oval Bunch...
Regards - Perrysburg_DodgExplorerApproximately 4,000 2015 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty pickup trucks built between Sept. 13, 2013, and March 31, 2014.
So Ford and GM put out their 2015 MY vehicles mid year now?
Tory "Just so you know, Ford typically meets there production schedules." just because you launch your new model six months early do not mean you have meet any "production schedules".
It only shows your old truck was not selling. Kind of like what is happening with the 2014 Chrysler 200 now. Why buy the old flavor when you can get the latest and greatest or better yet, wait for the big discounts to come out on the old model. Bet you can buy the MY2014 Ford SD dirt cheep now!
Don
On edit: Have to say working 12 hours a day six/seven days a week I don't get to see much TV. But There must not have been a whole lot of fan fair about the new 2015, never heard a word about it. Is it an all new truck or what? Why the mid year launch? - Me_AgainExplorer IIII liked the "Flash Or Repair Daily" comment. Chris
- colliehaulerExplorer IIII looked at a 2015 Burb as well last week, the 2015's are out.
- The_Mad_NorskyExplorerThere are 2015's on the dealer lots now.
Local Ford dealer here in South Dakota has two 2015's advertised. Perrysburg Dodgeboy wrote:
OK can someone please tell me how this affects the 2015 which is not even out yet :h . Looks like more PR BS from Fords magazine. I mean really they say this affects trucks built in 2013/2014.
Don
Don,
You really sound foolish with a statement like this. You should really bite your tongue...errr control your fingers from time to time. :W
Just so you know, Ford typically meets there production schedules.
Perhaps your production planners need an overhaul? :W
Just in case you wanted a link- kaydeejayExplorer

They could build 'em but not sell them until Jan 2nd 2014.
I didn't even know they were out yet, but saw this on PUT.com. Relative handful of trucks involved.
RECALL
The law says the model year has to include the same calendar year as the model and it cannot overlap two January 1sts.
So technically the 2015 model year truck can be sold from Jan 2nd 2014 to December 31st 2013. That includes the requisite January 1st of 2015 for that model year.
I used to fight with Marketing all the time as they would want to (say) sell the 2015s before Christmas 2013. Seeing as I controlled the printing of all the labels and the etching of the VIN plate they were in a no win situation. I simply used to ask them to get me a waiver from the Feds so we could do it early. End of discussion!
