Need recommendations for a well built travel trailer, not one put together with a staple gun. Our SUV probably cant handle a toy hauler, so we will have to stick with a travel trailer or hybrid. I dont really want to go over 4000lbs uvw and no more than 500 lbs tongue weight, with a max length of about 21 feet. We live in the mountains, and camp off road the desert. Not looking for anything extreme, but it needs to be sturdy. Thanks in advance!

The Nash 22h would be exactly what I am looking for, but I dont like the layout. Its very well built, got plenty of insulation, and has an off road chassis. If it had bunk beds, or even a hybrid option, I would definitely buy one. Thanks for your recommendation.

We purchased a Sprinter after owning a Alumascape which was a very good camper.

So far with the Sprinter after 2 trips has been trouble free and the size of the frame is very impressive.

I have been impressed with my 18ft Shasta.

We opted for the bunkhouse style and use the bunks for easy access storage for oxygen bottles, outside chairs, folding bike and folding kick scooter. I put a curtain up across the bunks so all that stuff is out of sight.

I take out the dinette table for even more room. We eat and work off folding tables.

It is great for the two of us. It is well built. Specifications are in my profile.

Me too. Less expensive, they usually have a real frame not some flimsey stamped lightweight sheet metal thing and they are easy to repair.

Well by now the OP should be thoroughly confused!!

Name a brand and it will have it supporters and detractors.

Pick the floor plan you like best, make sure your TV can carry your stuff and the tongue weight, make sure you can easily afford it.

Beyond that I suppose cost and manufacturers hype and the opinions of others are your only other guidelines.

Northwood had a plant in Va. Back around 2006 -2007, very poor workmanship. They had to close it because of it being so bad.

Sort of....

The owners of Northwood, along with some other investors/business people bought the old Fleetwood plant in LaGrande and formed a new company, Outdoors RV, so it's not really a "Northwood" owned building.
