- NautiqueFamilyExplorerYour profile says fulltiming...... the 8 foot, non-slide TC's are kinda small for fulltiming........ even the Northern Lite 8-5 or 8-11 which are "larger" small TCs.......
- NautiqueFamilyExplorerLook on the door sill of the driver's side....
There resides the capacity sticker. On it, you will see the payload capacity for your particular truck. There is some debate whether that is max or you can fudge it some with wheels, etc.....
The bottomline is stay in the range of what that sticker says - NOT the dealer at the truck place nor the camper place.... they are notoriously wrong with payload capacities and safety regarding overloading.
Start with the capacity on the door sill.......... - 1mtnmanExplorer IIThere are several campers that will work on your pickup. You may have to beef up your suspension or tires as a lot of us do but ass long as you find a camper that will not be more than 3000-3300 when loaded you should be fine.
- JumboJetExplorerMost any of the 800 series Lance campers and others that offer 8' TCs.
But now, expect 50+ posts on why your 2500 can or cannot haul a TC and you would be better off trading it for a 4500-5500 series truck.
Otherwise, there will be some good suggestion on suspension upgrades and anti-sway bars you will need.
My son carries a Lance 820 on a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 4x4.
