I'm not surprised. There is a used dealership near me that sells only diesel trucks. All of their inventory has between 120,000 and 325,000 miles and based on age and mileage they're priced from $15K to $30K.
The diesel truck market is just insane. I got my '14 Ram in the fall of 2015 for the low $30K's with 72,000 miles. I now have 125,000 miles on it and I have no doubt I could turn around and sell it today for exactly my purchase price. BUT I WON'T!!!!!! I couldn't come close to replacing this truck for that price. If I play my cards right, this is the truck I'll have for the next 10 to 15 years.
KJ - Ron3rdExplorer IIII picked up my fully loaded 2016 Big Horn Cummins 2500 for $47K + fees. I'll let it go for $65K.

I had my 2006 RAM in my sig in for the air bag recall. When I went to pick it up, 3 mechanics met me and asked if I were interested in selling it. I asked how much they'd give me, they asked what did I pay for it. I told 'em $32,000 and they said SOLD! Then the bidding started. I whoa'd 'em and asked what a new one cost. Well, that ended that! Who in their right mind would spend $60,000+ for a brand new truck?!! My first house, in California yet, was less than $50,000. Ha!
I'm sure glad I bought that truck when I did. It will be my last truck I ever buy barring any catastrophic event.
Well that was silly. If you got them up to 35k you could have bought a brand new one for less than $10k out of pocket. Manual or auto.
Guessing this is just a story, because no one in their right mind would walk away from mid 30s for a 12 year old quad cab truck, unless that is you have another 10-20k sunk into mods or something. - dodge_guyExplorer III’ve got my 02 X with 98k miles and I’ll let it go for $60k!!! I’ll keep under bidding all you guys!

I didn't think the Aisin was in the 2500. Looks like he's upside down.
Most likely the upside down part! Recently out of work trying to cut cost.
I would agree or a dealer just being stupid. You have to work pretty hard just to get up to that price MSRP let alone used price. - DaveF-250SDExplorerCorrected my posting. Truck is a SRW 3500, not 2500.
- WeBeFulltimersExplorerI would consider letting my 2012 F350 PSD go for just $74k! :E

Being a past Dmax owner I was a bit interested so I sat down inside. It was priced at 57K which I thought seemed reasonable but a bit high - That same truck can be had for mid-lower 50K at Dennis Dillon. As I sat I looked more closely at the window sticker and it was actually USED with 30K miles. Holly hell..... good luck with that!!!
