Record high price for used 2018 Ram 2500?

I had my 2006 RAM in my sig in for the air bag recall. When I went to pick it up, 3 mechanics met me and asked if I were interested in selling it. I asked how much they'd give me, they asked what did I pay for it. I told 'em $32,000 and they said SOLD! Then the bidding started. I whoa'd 'em and asked what a new one cost. Well, that ended that! Who in their right mind would spend $60,000+ for a brand new truck?!! My first house, in California yet, was less than $50,000. Ha!
I'm sure glad I bought that truck when I did. It will be my last truck I ever buy barring any catastrophic event.
