Refer / Freezer Temps

I keep mine on 34

I can't see your pictures due to my settings. I do know that my dometic on 120vt set at (3) is zero freezer and 35 fridge temps here days sitting full sun mid 80's nights mid 50's.
I do know that cooling air with no mass is not good. I suggest filling your fridge with water bottles, soda, or my favorite beer. As these cool down they will hold the cold, and use less energy to keep things cool.

AN empty fridge is NOT a good means of testing/measuring temps.

Fill freezer and food compartments with some items.

RV 10 to 15 degrees in freezer, 40s in frig. Varies with ambient.

Home minus 8 to 12 in freezer, 40 in frig.

The food in our RV rarely stays in it for any significant length of time.

If you are concerned just keep it on high setting although the first set of temps were not too out of line either. We use an internal fridge fan we purchased on Ebay for about $12 that runs continuously and is comprised of two very small computer fans. Where most of the cooling inefficiency occurs on RV type fridges is when the door is opened frequently, having constant airflow will help with dispersing the cold from the contents within aiding in quick temp recovery.

Main reason RV fridges perform inadequately is improper installation from RV manufacturer. Exterior fans mounted on the rear of your unit can help with required airflow needed for optimum performance. Our Dometic has performed well at ambient temps of 10 degrees to over 100 degrees, we do lots of our RVing without power hookups and prefer absorption type fridges as they have performed well for us over the couple of decades of RV ownership.

About 30 delta between freezer and fridge is normal. So 5 freezer and 35 fridge is good. Also depends WHERE your temp sensor is.....there can be 2-6 degrees difference or more depending on where it's located.

I'm usually at 0 and 33.

Air circulation. An inside fan reduced my tempts by 12 degrees.

I did the interior small interior fans med to circulate air and exterior fans behind refer mod to assist with getting air to exit up through top vent.

Do rear behind refer fans need to be mounted horizontally to blow upwards or can they be mounted vertically just inside exterior refer cover? Is this vertical mounting as efficient as horizontal mounting?
