Regret going TT over a 5th?

I like small campgrounds in remote areas and a small trailer works better for me. I have a 35' fifth wheel that does not get much use. Take a good look at how you are going to use it. Only you will know what works best for you. Just bought a 17' TH TT for remote areas.

Even though I have a diesel I like to tow light because I head for the Pacific Northwest, some big grades there. Plus I just don't need or want a big rig. If the 5th is a much better way to go, this would be a good time to switch.

I think it depends upon how large and how heavy the trailer you desire is. Just my opinion, but if you want a large unit, something that should have a diesel TV, then you should go with a 5th wheel. As for myself, as long as I stick with a similar trailer that I now have, I'll stick with the tag along. I do know people that rant and rave about how much easier a 5th wheel is to pull, but that may be subjective, depending upon size, weight, or just a person's preference, so to each his own.

I like the tag along mostly because of the steps. I don't like climbing steps to go to the bathroom or to bed, or even the high stairs to get into the 5er. I like the flat floor plan of the TT.

I also like the lighter weight of the TT. Don't misunderstand. 5ers are nice. But just not for us.
