True... but if you are going out to buy a truck, why not buy the 1 ton with overloads, rather than the 3/4 ton and adding to it?
That's a different question although it gets brought up so much here I understand you going there. The issue raised was payload rating on a gas 250 versus a diesel 250...yes it's technically higher on the gas truck, but drop 3000 lbs in the bed of either and you have an identical result from a load carrying standpoint.
