So back on topic on the reman rant...

Bout 6 am this morning headin back up to Canuckle-land for a couple hockey games. Driving the old Tahoe snack wagon. (That's what I call it because it's always on the road and inevitably snack and meals are being consumed in it.)
This is idk, few thousand miles since the alternator incident that started this thread.
I drop the hammer to pass someone, when the snack wagon downshifts, the volt gauge drops! Up shift to lower rpms, gauge goes back up... Hmm weird coincidence, methinks.
So I doo it a couple more times and when the fire breathing LS 5.3 (lol, that was a joke) goes much over 3k rpms, the alternator stops alternating!
Fck! Really? Well, at least it still works if I drive like my mother in law!
But now the gauge is starting to bounce around a little.
(Recall, my earlier post that the reman alternator for $313 cdn does not include a new voltage regulator, but rather a "tested" vr and rectifier.)
